On behalf of the Ministry of Science and Technology, I beg to report that since the year 2003, the Ministry has the honor to serve the Human-Chicken Multi-Relationship Research Project initiated by His Imperial Highness Prince Akishino and under patronage of Your Royal Highness.
Many people and institutions both in Japan and Thailand have participated and served the project. They include the Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, the Livestock Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Provinces of Chieng-Rai and ChachoengSao, University of Tokyo and many other more. I would like to also mention the Siam Society who had provided the facilities for this occasion and sponsored the printing of selected studies.
We are therefore most humbly grateful that Your Royal Highness has graciously agreed to honor us all by presiding over this conference and to acknowledge those who have made this project successful.
